Tirian
We are very blessed to have our property and livestock guarded and protected by our 4 beautiful Colorado Mountain Dogs; Tirian, Ginger, Wexter and Belle. Tirian came to us in September of 2013, after repeated attacks from the coyotes that populate our area. Ginger came to our farm in November of 2014, when the continuing predator problem made us realize that we needed a guarding buddy for Tirian. When we realized that Ginger was Tirian's daughter, we just knew that we had to make them a team!
In the spring of 2015, Ginger had her first litter of puppies, being bred with "Caspian" (Wendy Francisco's beautiful dog.) Our oldest son, Jeremiah, decided that he would love a puppy from Ginger's first litter. "Wexter" is big, beautiful and laid back, just like his Grandpa Tirian. Wexter and sister Belle are our 3rd generation of these amazing, working guardian dogs. Wexter is now a "stud" dog, starting in the Spring of 2018 for the Colorado Mountain Dog Association breeding program. He will be available for breeding services here, at Blessed Bit of Earth Farm. "Belle" is our gorgeous female from the same March 2015 litter as Wexter. She is sweet, perceptive and an incredible livestock guardian dog. WE LOVE OUR COLORADO MOUNTAIN DOGS!
